Environmental and Engineering

Sinkhole in East Sussex

We were instructed for geotechnical expertise in this ground collapse case. We undertook soils and ground analysis including GPR surveys to investigate for redundant wells and voids. The issue was located, and an engineered design to fill and reinstate is underway and overseen by Neutown Ltd.

Culvert and bridge in West Sussex

Neutown were employed to investigate local flooding which related to a collapsed culvert downstream.

After the necessary consultation, we assisted in the civils design of the culvert, headwall and road surface, through procurement, and works delivery under contract.

Quarry Groundwater Borehole and Pumped Circulation Water Supply Project. Hampshire

Neutown were employed after previous efforts to fault find for a significant loss of water in the system were unsuccessful. We worked with our geology expertise and with our pumps specialist to successfully diagnose the issue. We have since specified ground works to replace a chamber and pumps before seeking to import freshwater.

Neutown were employed to undertake a structural assessment of the piers and supporting galvanised steelwork for this bridge in Pevensey, East Sussex
